About the role#
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to join our team. You will work on the infrastructure that supports our services, databases, and caches. This is a full-time, remote position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January 4 to April 30. We require candidates to maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.
What you'll do#
- Work with tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Istio.
- Accelerate development by creating faster and safer deployment processes.
- Improve developer productivity through better tools and workflows.
- Contribute to cost savings and infrastructure optimizations.
- Implement automated monitoring and alerting to catch errors and performance issues early.
What you'll need#
- 4-16 months of experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Experience and comfort working with POSIX-based operating systems.
- Understanding of Docker and its use cases.
- Knowledge of networked services in the cloud, including VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
Location & details#
- This role is remote and open to candidates based in Canada.
- The position is full-time (40 hours per week).
