About the role#
This is a student worker position for individuals enrolled in the Transition to Independent Living program at Taft College. You will assist with various campus operations and support services across different departments. This is a paid, on-site role with rolling availability.
What you'll do#
Your daily tasks depend on your assigned department. You might help with:
- Food service, including preparation, serving, dishwashing, and pizza assembly.
- Retail support, such as pricing merchandise, inventory control, and operating a cash register.
- Grounds and facility maintenance, including raking, sweeping, trash collection, and cleaning interiors.
- Office support, such as operating shredders, preparing mailings, and managing supplies.
- Childcare assistance, including monitoring children during play and meal times.
- Technical support, such as imaging computers, installing software, and managing ink or toner.
- Library tasks, including checking books in and out and shelving materials.
- Vehicle maintenance, including interior and exterior cleaning.
