About the role#
The Store Executive Intern program is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training experience designed to prepare you for store leadership. Over the course of the summer, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work closely with mentors and team members to understand retail operations, develop management skills, and contribute to store goals.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support daily store operations by working alongside team members in the salesfloor and backroom.
- Partner with store leaders to provide performance feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by assisting shoppers and ensuring the team is equipped to resolve guest needs.
- Participate in internship training activities, developmental events, and daily huddles with the leadership team.
- Manage and prioritize daily tasks, such as stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify opportunities for improvement and set daily goals.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in retail management.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Proficiency in learning and adapting to store technology, including handheld scanners and communication devices.
