About the role#
This internship program provides students with hands-on experience in government engineering projects. You will work alongside mentors to support current campaigns and upcoming assignments. The program runs from mid-May through mid-August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through departments including Traffic Operations, Construction, Bridge, Roadway Design, and the Office of Materials & Testing.
- Assist work units with assigned projects.
- Collaborate with mentors on specific engineering tasks.
- Support ongoing campaigns and upcoming initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering program or pre-engineering course of study.
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work in the United States.
- Relevant majors include Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time role based in Georgia.
- The position is paid hourly at a rate of $20.00 to $23.00 depending on your academic classification.
- This is a temporary role with a maximum of 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks.
