About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the food manufacturing industry. You will work with a team of colleagues and receive guidance from a mentor to support your professional development. This position is located in Winsted, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Learn the manufacturing processes for cheese and other dairy products.
- Understand the steps involved in sizing and specifying a process line.
- Perform detailed calculations for line sizing.
- Support the team with pump sizing and valve or control valve sizing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, ideally within your final two years.
- Academic background in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- A genuine interest in the food industry.
Location & details#
- Location: Winsted, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer, with part-time hours available during the school year.
- Terms: Summer 2027, Fall 2027, Winter 2028, and Spring 2028.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
