    About the role#

    The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an undergraduate intern to support the Portfolio Analysis Department within the Enterprise Effects Division. This role focuses on engineering and analytical support for government customers, specifically in portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering. You will work on-site to help deliver insights that assist senior leaders in making technical decisions.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide engineering and analytical support for portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering.
    • Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers.
    • Support the deployment and implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks.
    • Identify new capabilities and enhancements to support the customer base.
    • Initiate studies to solve technical problems and recommend courses of action to management.
    • Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to integrate system design and analysis.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor’s degree program for Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
    • Junior class standing by the start of the internship.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Availability to work full-time on-site for at least 10 weeks, with the ability to return to school full-time afterward.
    • Ability to function in multi-disciplinary systems engineering or program management environments.
    • Coursework or research experience in system architecting.
    • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Transcripts are required for the application.
    • Preferred qualifications include an active security clearance, knowledge of model-based system engineering (MBSE), and experience with multidisciplinary teams in system design or operations.

    • Locations: Colorado Springs, CO; El Segundo, CA; or Chantilly, VA.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour.
