About the role#
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a graduate intern for the Summer 2027 term to join the RPO Analysis and Integration Department. This role involves supporting mission-level modeling and simulation to assist military and civil customers with space infrastructure protection. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity for at least 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Develop and mature analysis software tools.
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis for space mission design, orbital maneuvers, orbit estimation, and space domain awareness.
- Perform analyses of system performance and architecture alternatives.
- Interact with local Aerospace personnel and collaborate with team members across other locations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a MS or PhD in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
- Senior class standing by the internship start date and enrollment in a graduate program beginning Fall 2027.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks and return to a degree program afterward.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: C, C++, Python, Fortran, or MATLAB.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Submission of transcripts is required.
