About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with the Store Manager to learn how the retail business runs. You will focus on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while developing leadership, recruiting, and merchandising skills. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Set sales goals, educate teammates, and track results for a managed product category.
- Perform store operations including cashiering, merchandising, and register procedures.
- Participate in monthly conference calls.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You can lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- You are able to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.

- Location: Syracuse, New York, USA.
- Pay range: $16 to $19 per hour (base rate plus commission).
- Work modality: On-site.
