About the role#
As a Sales and Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how our retail business functions and gain experience in management. Your primary focus is to provide an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests while performing daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance through company tools like the Performance Tracker.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise display, and register procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- No prior experience or training is required for this role.
- You must be able to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.
- You must have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- We are looking for individuals interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
