About the role#
The Auditing Department assists presiding leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by providing assurances and recommendations regarding Church operations, activities, and internal controls. This internship offers exposure to the financial and operational risks of a multinational organization, including media, humanitarian efforts, temples, and higher education. Interns may have opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate risks and controls across Church-affiliated companies to protect assets.
- Meet rigid and challenging deadlines on assigned tasks.
- Work in harmony with team members to devise solutions.
- Take direction from supervising staff on each assignment.
- Apply sound judgment regarding Church doctrine, history, organization, policy, and protocol.
- Demonstrate independence, tact, and diplomacy in your daily work.
- Give full attention to detail on all projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an educational institution or graduation within the last year.
- Completion of 3+ years of college coursework as an information systems, technology, or cybersecurity major.
- Strong analytical, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Energy to focus on optimizing Church entities and accomplishing personal goals.
- Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worthiness to hold a temple recommend.
- Experience with technology, cybersecurity, or data privacy is preferred.
