About the role#
Join the Ocean and Coastal team for a hands-on internship in Jacksonville, Florida. You will work alongside engineers to protect shorelines and improve waterfront infrastructure. This role focuses on applying classroom knowledge to projects that support navigation and preserve ecosystems.
What you'll do#
- Work with team members on coastal engineering project deliverables.
- Manage beach profile data and conduct volume change analyses.
- Perform industry-standard coastal engineering analyses.
- Contribute to construction plans and technical specifications.
- Observe construction operations and evaluate site conditions.
- Assist with data management and report preparation.
- Assemble documentation to support state and federal permit applications.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's program for Civil or Coastal Engineering, or a Master's program for Coastal Engineering.
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, at least one coastal engineering course.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
