About the role#
As a Data Engineer intern at The Hanover Insurance Group, you will work on practical applications of data collection and analysis. You will learn how to access, obtain, and manipulate data to produce reports, datasets, and self-service tools. This role involves working alongside team members to support business assignments and gain experience with data architecture.
What you'll do#
- Execute data profiling, report and data generation, and relational data modeling design.
- Implement new data pipelines and models for analysis.
- Document the development and design of the solutions you build.
- Work with data to produce outputs such as reports or datasets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelors or advanced degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Technical proficiency in ETL, SQL, data management, and documentation.
- Ability to commit to a full-time 10-week internship program.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- The program runs for 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
