About the role#
The Hanover Insurance Group is hiring an Automation Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, 10-week program based in Worcester, Massachusetts. You will work on technical projects to support our Personal Lines Operations team.
What you'll do#
- Independently develop automations for lower to medium complexity projects based on provided specifications.
- Design and code automations that connect processes across multiple systems.
- Integrate and evaluate large, complex data sets to turn raw information into insights.
- Develop all automation reporting and trend analysis based on key performance indicators.
- Share performance metrics with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
- Create and deliver a final presentation for management at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program, preferably in Computer Science.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Advanced knowledge of Python and solid experience with SQL.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week internship.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical details to stakeholders.
