About the role#
As an Analyst Intern at The MJ Companies, you will work with our analytics team to address ambiguous business challenges and uncertain data. This role focuses on turning raw information into actionable insights that guide our business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Extrapolate and validate data to ensure accuracy.
- Create professional reports, graphs, and charts.
- Identify trends and patterns in data sets.
- Collaborate with team members and external customers to solve business problems.
- Maintain professional relationships while identifying new opportunities through research.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data mining and analytic tools like SQL, SAS, SPSS, or R.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of modeling techniques and statistics, including regression and cluster analysis.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
- The internship runs from May to August 2026.
- This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week.
- This is a paid position.
