About the role#
This summer internship offers a practical look at financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the Global Bioscience sector. You will work alongside experienced finance partners and commercial teams to support real-world business operations. This position is a full-time, paid role designed for students to gain professional experience in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Support financial planning and analysis for Global Bioscience and Commercial SG&A spending.
- Assist with forecasting processes, including 5-year planning preparations and monthly or quarterly closings.
- Handle data analysis, reporting tasks, and data management projects.
- Participate in department meetings and project-specific sessions.
- Communicate with various levels of the organization, including management, sales teams, and R&D professionals.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore standing or higher by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- A minimum 2.75 GPA.
- 1-2 years of experience through volunteering, school organizations, or previous work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status.
- SAP experience is considered a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site travel.
Location & details#
- Location: Durham, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 10 to August 20).
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week on-site.
- Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Selection requires successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
