About the role#
The Applied Process Technology (APT) Engineer Co-Op supports the innovation portfolio across our global business. You will assist with engineering tasks in new product development, pilot plant design, and chemical processing. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Lead engineering projects and improvement activities for mining and concentrate processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies on new technology to improve processing and product development.
- Direct research activities in both laboratory and industrial settings.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and functional teams.
- Communicate project updates to management, plant operators, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Current student at the junior level or higher by May 2027.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Ability to work full-time hours.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel between sites.
- Ability to work in an industrial chemical and mining environment, including occasional outdoor work in varying temperatures.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida (FishHawk site).
- Term: January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, and work at various heights. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-placement drug screen, background check, physical, and functional capacity exam.
