About the role#
The UVA Career Center is hiring a Marketing Student Assistant to promote our services and events to the student body. This role offers experience in marketing strategy, relationship development, and customer service. You will work in a team environment to increase student engagement with our programs.
What you'll do#
- Implement marketing campaigns, including posting flyers, sidewalk chalking, and social media promotion.
- Provide information to students regarding Career Center opportunities.
- Grow our presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Create a weekly brand report to identify marketing opportunities and gather customer feedback.
- Update monthly and annual analytic reports using Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Instagram analytics, Pinterest, and email engagement data.
- Develop graphics and layouts for internal logos and online materials.
- Research social media trends and upcoming events to inform content.
- Maintain an archive of images and previous work products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at UVA.
- A Federal Work-Study award as part of your financial aid package.
- Ability to communicate and maintain professional relationships with team members and clients.
- Capability to complete tasks and projects on time, including meeting deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Work Modality: On-site at Bryant Hall, Scott Stadium.
- Commitment: Up to 7 hours per week with a schedule flexible to your classes.
- Pay: $16.75 per hour.
