About the role#
The Animal Science Department is looking for a Reproduction/Genetics Lab Assistant to help maintain the laboratory and support ongoing research projects. This position is a great fit for students in Biology, Agriculture, or Biomedical Sciences who want to learn lab operations and sampling techniques.
What you'll do#
- Keep the laboratory clean and organized.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and follow safety practices.
- Manage lab inventory.
- Collect and process samples for research projects.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Wyoming.
- You must have received and accepted a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- You should be reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Previous lab experience is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located at the Animal Science Building in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The pay rate is $15 per hour.
- This is a part-time, rolling appointment.
