About the role#
The University of Wyoming Technology Transfer Office is hiring interns to assist with the evaluation and commercialization of research outcomes. You will participate in an initial formal training program to learn the fundamentals of technology transfer. After training, you will work with a mentor on specific commercialization opportunities submitted by faculty, students, and staff.
What you'll do#
- Assess and analyze new technologies.
- Develop strategies for cost-effective intellectual property protection.
- Identify specific markets and niches for commercialization opportunities.
- Create marketing materials and social media strategies to promote technology transfer activities.
- Assist in the negotiation of research promotion and commercialization agreements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University of Wyoming MS, MA, MBA, JD, or BS/BA degree program.
- Preferred majors include Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of web and social media platforms.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The role supports remote, on-site, and hybrid work modalities, subject to manager approval.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
