About the role#
The VetEvolve DVM/VMD Externship provides veterinary students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working alongside experienced professionals. This program allows you to explore various clinical settings within our network of partner practices. We focus on your professional development by providing mentorship and a supportive environment as you progress through your veterinary education.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced veterinarians to observe daily clinical practice.
- Engage in both medical and administrative tasks to understand how veterinary clinics operate.
- Participate in clinical insight and operational support activities.
- Connect with multiple VetEvolve practices to broaden your perspective.
- Work toward building a meaningful career in the veterinary field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
- A strong interest in veterinary medicine and clinical practice.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and participate in mentorship opportunities.

- This is an on-site externship located in Virginia.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
- This is a paid externship opportunity.
