About the role#
Dublin Animal Hospital offers a DVM/VMD externship for veterinary students. This is a paid, on-site opportunity located in Dublin, Virginia. The practice is AAHA-certified and serves small animals, pocket pets, and exotics. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians who provide mentorship in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preventive care and surgical procedures, including C-sections and cherry eye surgeries.
- Learn about behavior consultations.
- Gain clinical experience in wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
- Utilize equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and EKG.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School in a VMD or DVM degree path.
- Interest in small animal, pocket pet, and exotic veterinary care.
- A desire for mentorship and hands-on clinical experience.
