About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineer Intern for the Community Design group in Taylor, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and collaborate with various departments to support our engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Assist engineers with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Work alongside project managers, engineers, and staff in the Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology departments.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to maintain excellent client relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.
