About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Civil Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Wichita, Kansas office. This 12-week program begins on May 18, 2027, and provides exposure to real projects alongside senior staff members.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete required training for assigned tasks.
- Learn basic principles of civil engineering while developing technical and professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, master, or PhD program in civil engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Ability to be at least 18 years old by the start date.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
