About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Laramie, Wyoming. You will join our Water Team for a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027. This role provides exposure to civil design, hydraulic modeling, storm water analysis, and construction observation. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn basic principles of Civil Water Resources Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and exercise ethical decision-making.
- Perform additional tasks as business needs require.
- Occasional travel may be necessary based on project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow direction from mentors and managers.
- A record of upholding workplace safety and company policies.
- Enrollment in a master's or PhD program is preferred.
- Prior campus leadership or internship experience is a plus.
