    About the role#

    The Integrated Distribution Planning team designs the grid of the future. The team manages the expansion of the distribution system to accommodate new growth, electric vehicles, and distributed energy resources like solar and batteries. You will work alongside Planning Engineers to ensure the safety and reliability of the distribution system while supporting company and policy goals.

    What you'll do#

    • Support distribution system studies and project development.
    • Perform power flow studies.
    • Develop long-range distribution plans.
    • Evaluate community solar garden interconnection studies.
    • Gain professional experience through practical operations and mentoring.

    What you'll need#

    • Current student at an ABET accredited college or university, Sophomore or higher as of Fall 2027.
    • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
    • Ability to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week).
    • Ability to commute to the office in Denver for hybrid work.
    • Coursework in Circuits and Power Systems is preferred.
    • Experience with computer programming is preferred.

    • Location: Denver, Colorado.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (with potential for extension).
    • Modality: Hybrid.
    • Employment type: Full-time (summer) and part-time (school year).
    • Compensation: $21.20 to $24.60 per hour.
