About the role#
Join the Meta Architecture team at Xcel Energy to help shape the tools, processes, and technology solutions that advance our enterprise architecture practice. You will collaborate with architects and business stakeholders across diverse domains to drive improvement and innovation. This role offers a chance to work on strategic projects while contributing to intelligent technology initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with IT and OT architects to research, design, and implement architecture solutions that deliver business value.
- Contribute to AI, ML, and agentic AI initiatives to improve automation and decision-making.
- Participate in project and team meetings to share ideas and insights.
- Conduct research, analysis, and solution evaluation to address technology challenges.
- Assist in the development and documentation of architecture standards, principles, and frameworks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for architecture-related projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or higher as of Fall 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical major.
- Ability to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the school year.
- Foundational understanding of enterprise architecture concepts, including software, hardware, networking, integration, and cloud hosting models.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, AI, ML, or software development practices is preferred.
- Any technical certification is a plus.
