About the role#
The Federal Work Study Library Aide supports the daily operations of the Architecture Collection. You will assist students, faculty, and staff as they use library resources for their studies and professional development. This position requires someone who can provide service in person and over the phone while maintaining the library circulation desk.
What you'll do#
- Manage circulation desk operations, including checking materials in and out.
- Register borrowers and update patron records.
- Read shelves to ensure books are in the correct alphabetical or numerical sequence.
- Troubleshoot library equipment, such as computers, scanners, copiers, and printers.
- Design flyers, posters, and brochures using Canva.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn library organization and procedures.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Current enrollment in an Architecture major is preferred.
