    About the role#

    Activision is seeking an Audio Design Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 program. This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship based on-site in Carlsbad, California. You will work as part of a collaborative team to craft audio experiences that integrate story and personality into gameplay.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with a team of audio professionals.
    • Respond to creative direction.
    • Design and implement audio that connects with player experience.
    • Manage your time effectively to complete project tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
    • Availability to participate in a 12-week internship starting in mid-May or mid-June 2027.
    • Technical competence with audio tools, processes, and sound theory.
    • Experience using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Reaper or ProTools.
    • Experience creating and implementing interactive sound.
    • A portfolio or reel showcasing examples of implemented audio.
    • Ability to think differently and apply new skills.
    • Strong communication skills to discuss problems and solutions.
    • A passion for game development.
