    About the role#

    The Kogod School of Business is seeking a research-oriented student to support a professor focused on marketing research, teaching processes, and social change. This role is open to currently enrolled American University students who are independent and motivated.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and format diagrams, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint slides for class presentations.
    • Review, summarize, and integrate key points from academic articles.
    • Identify practical marketing activities and articles for class use.
    • Perform project-specific outreach to external partners.
    • Maintain and enhance the professor's social media and networking presence.
    • Provide administrative support such as data entry and meeting notes.

    What you'll need#

    • Excellent reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of online library databases and academic research resources.
    • Experience acquiring, managing, and synthesizing information on business and social research topics.
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Interest in marketing, race, or social change is preferred.

    • Location: Washington, DC (Main Campus).
    • Modality: Remote and on-site flexibility.
    • Hours: 10 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
    • Status: Part-time, non-exempt.
