About the role#
The Accelerate internship program offers a 10-week experience designed to help you explore different areas of our business. You will participate in professional development workshops, hear from company leaders, and network with our senior leadership team. You will also visit field operations to see how your work influences our daily business.
What you'll do#
- Build new applications, tools, and systems for business critical operations.
- Engage with users to iteratively refine your solutions.
- Quickly test new ideas and build upon feedback.
- Learn the ins and outs of your assigned department.
What you'll need#
- An expected Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, or Physics.
- Programming experience with Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- A strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts.
- Experience building applications to collect, manage, and process large data sets for analytics.
- Ability to ensure fast performance and user-friendly interfaces.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with RESTful Web services.
- Preferred: Experience with progressive and responsive web design, knowledge of SQL, and hands-on experience with MySQL databases.
