About the role#
Baxter & Woodman is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for our West Palm Beach office. This summer 2027 internship offers hands-on experience supporting our water, wastewater, and stormwater groups. You will work directly with municipal and county clients on infrastructure projects while gaining a broad background in civil engineering.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
- Complete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements for various clients.
- Perform field work, studies, and design related to water and wastewater system rehabilitation.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling, computation, and analysis for water and wastewater systems.
- Manage independent tasks including CAD work, quantity computation, traffic analysis, and data collection.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Availability to start in May or June 2027.
- Strong verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Own transportation and the ability to travel throughout the service area.
