About the role#
Baxter & Woodman is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for our offices in Milwaukee and Waterford, Wisconsin. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting our transportation department with the planning and design of various facilities. You will work directly with our transportation design team throughout the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform plan reviews and prepare project plans.
- Use CAD software for design tasks.
- Compute project quantities.
- Conduct traffic analysis and collect field data.
- Assist with survey work.
- Participate in construction inspection activities.
What you'll need#
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
- Ability to start in May 2027.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel throughout our service area.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
