About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a High School Math Tutor to support students with homework and GED preparation. This position is part of the Communities in Schools program and is reserved for students who are eligible for Federal Work Study.
What you'll do#
- Assist high school students with math coursework and GED studies.
- Coordinate with the tutoring manager to schedule and implement services.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
- Keep complete, accurate documentation and detailed service logs for each student.
- Attend required meetings and professional training sessions.
- Follow CIS and district policies while representing the university.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Baylor University.
- Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
