About the role#
The Allen/Dawson Office Assistant provides administrative support to on-campus residential communities at Baylor University. You act as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while helping maintain the safety and security of the residence halls. This role requires you to uphold Campus Living and Learning policies and serve as a point of contact for the community.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and notify appropriate staff of any issues.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, such as room access support and equipment checkouts.
- Maintain accurate log books for maintenance, equipment, and lost and found items.
- Enforce and uphold department policies and procedures.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the Residence Hall Director.
What you'll need#
- Typing skills and the ability to learn specific front desk computer programs.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to provide customer service to a diverse population.
- Sound judgment to respond to needs or situations as they arise.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Public Health, or Psychology.

- Location: Allen and Dawson Residence Halls, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 7:00am and 1:00am, including some holiday break coverage.
