About the role#
The IT Help Desk Consultant supports the Baylor Law School community by maintaining equipment and assisting students, faculty, and staff with technical needs. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot common IT problems and respond to inquiries from the Law School community.
- Monitor and maintain printers, including checking ink and paper levels and resolving jams.
- Update the IT Help Desk log on BOX with resolved issues and completed tasks.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of portable audio and video systems for classes and events.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and manage supplies like paper and toner.
- Provide general office assistance, greet visitors, and maintain files while ensuring information confidentiality.
- Handle special projects as assigned by the IT Director or Law IT staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or law student at Baylor University.
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with common IT equipment and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and follow university policies.

- Location: Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center, 2nd Floor of the Law Library, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible shifts available between 7am and 10pm, including Sundays from 11am to 10pm.
- Compensation: Paid position.
