About the role#
This role supports the daily operations of the Meyer Center at Mission Waco. You will work directly with the center director and staff to manage administrative tasks and client services. This position involves direct contact with people experiencing homelessness and requires a welcoming, helpful approach.
What you'll do#
- Welcome and register clients using the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) database.
- Collect and record client information such as income, health status, and housing history.
- Manage and assign daily chores for clients at the center.
- Assist the director with HMIS analytics to prepare monthly reports and support grant applications.
- Schedule meetings for case workers, counselors, and program directors.
- Gather and analyze utilization data from the Meyer Center Health Clinic to help inform center operations.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in data collection, entry, and analysis.
- Strong clerical skills with a focus on detail.
- Good communication skills and a hospitable attitude.
- Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds with kindness.
- Prior experience working with neighbors experiencing homelessness is preferred.
- Preferred majors include Public Health, Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Saturday between 6:00am and 5:00pm.
- Compensation: Paid position at $11.00 to $12.50 per hour.
