About the role#
As an Actuarial Analyst intern, you will join the team to support insurance product pricing and financial analysis. This role involves working on cash flow testing, monitoring market experience, and contributing to the profitability analysis of new and existing insurance products. You will gain exposure to actuarial services across various product lines, including life insurance, annuities, and segregated funds.
What you'll do#
- Price insurance products using current pricing assumptions and perform cash flow testing.
- Monitor lapse, mortality, and morbidity experience on an ongoing basis.
- Analyze and compare competitor insurance products, specifically for the high net worth market.
- Create and validate Excel spreadsheets to reflect product values, marketing concepts, and company profitability.
- Provide sales support and business expertise for insurance quotes.
- Assist with management reporting and special projects to support business growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an actuarial science or mathematics degree program.
- Successful completion of at least one SOA exam and active pursuit of an FSA or FCIA designation.
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
