About the role#
The IT Project Management intern will support our Business Systems Digital Transformation strategy. You will help with the initiation, planning, execution, and closing of complex, high-risk, multi-million-dollar IT projects. This work focuses on the Applications and ERP domain.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the execution of critical, high-risk projects and programs.
- Work with project managers on testing, defect management, status reporting, cutover, and hypercare.
- Provide accurate task and event status updates to the project team, PMO, stakeholders, and executives.
- Ensure project management approaches align with PMO standards and best practices.
- Help implement project management tools and methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master's degree program with some completed coursework.
- Knowledge of project management body of knowledge, concepts, and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Visio.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly present project status to leadership.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.
- Prior experience with application deployment or upgrade projects is preferred.
- Experience with application testing, training, defect management, cutover, and hypercare is preferred.
