About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring part-time Student Assistants to work on an Air Force Research Laboratory grant focused on UAV and UGV autonomy. You will work under the supervision of Dr. Subodh Bhandari to support research initiatives in robotics and autonomous systems.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research to advance UAV and UGV autonomy.
- Develop systems for collaboration between UAVs and UGVs, including path planning and instrumentation.
- Assist with sensor integration, algorithm development, and onboard processing.
- Run simulations and participate in flight testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Cal Poly Pomona as a BS or MS student in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of instructional design using Canvas and Kaltura.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Experience with ConcepTests for Calculus and web accessibility tools is preferred.

- This role is based on-site in Pomona, California.
