About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will focus on resident retention and leasing current and future apartment availability. You will act as an ambassador for customer service, ensuring that residents and prospective clients have a positive experience. This role requires you to work on-site, including evenings and weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation for tasks like lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll do#
- Deliver high-quality customer service and handle administrative front desk duties.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training and pass third-party leasing shops.
- Greet prospective clients, answer leasing calls, and conduct apartment tours.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Assist with community events and various additional projects assigned by the Community Manager.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least six credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder and live on the designated community floor.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate all interior and exterior areas of the property.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina.
- This is a paid, part-time, on-site internship.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, and Communications.
