About the role#
This internship is a training position designed to prepare you for a future role as an Operations Management Associate. You will spend 16 weeks gaining exposure to the daily workflow of plant and distribution operations. During this time, you will work on projects to improve current processes while learning what it takes to lead in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Gain direct exposure to plant and distribution workflows.
- Work on specific projects to improve facets of current operations.
- Engage in Risk Management, including safety and regulatory compliance.
- Understand the fundamentals of Talent Management and employee development.
- Collaborate with teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learn about production maintenance and operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree or diploma program at an accredited institution.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to complete a 16-week internship from May through August 2027.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- A high degree of initiative and the ability to work with limited guidance.
- Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Academic background in Operations Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
