About the role#
Centrus Energy Corp. is hiring a Safety Specialist Intern to support daily field activities, compliance tasks, and safety projects. You will work alongside safety professionals to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in a technical environment.
What you'll do#
- Support routine safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs throughout operational areas.
- Track, document, and analyze safety data, including incident reports and observations.
- Assist in the development and update of safety procedures, training materials, and communication content.
- Coordinate employee training sessions and participate in safety meetings.
- Contribute to hazard identification, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor or graduate program in Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of college-level coursework in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. citizenship.

- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
