    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience in materials engineering within refining or upstream facilities. You will work directly under the guidance of a senior materials engineer to support ongoing operations. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance. Interns may be based in various U.S. locations, including Houston, Pasadena, Pascagoula, Richmond, Salt Lake City, or El Segundo.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform material selection and review technical specifications.
    • Conduct corrosion and metallurgy studies.
    • Execute failure analyses to support facility operations.
    • Present a summary of your work and contributions in both written and oral formats.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate program focused on Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering.
    • A record of strong academic performance.
    • The ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
    • Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
