About the role#
The Compact and Large Tractor Product Validation group tests and validates new tractor products and revisions to existing models. As a Product Validation Engineering Co-op, you will work as a full team member under the mentorship of experienced engineers. You will gain hands-on experience with vehicle testing, data acquisition, and performance validation to ensure equipment meets safety and customer expectations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define project scopes, validation plans, and performance targets.
- Create test requests in the internal system with clear procedures and criteria.
- Plan, set up, operate, and monitor vehicle systems tests in lab and track environments.
- Install, calibrate, and use test instruments and automation equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues while identifying root causes.
- Collect and analyze performance data to identify trends and determine if systems meet design specifications.
- Document results in technical reports and present findings to project stakeholders.
- Interface with support groups, including vehicle electronics, design, and manufacturing teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A basic understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Ability to live within a commutable distance of the Fargo, ND facility.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time hours during the summer, with part-time hours available during the school year.
- Compensation: $19.57 - $27.81 per hour.
