About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Copart, you will build web applications from the ground up and contribute to existing projects. You will work on both responsive single-page web applications and backend microservices. This role requires a focus on web standards and performance.
What you'll do#
- Write well-structured web applications using JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, ReactNative, and Node.js.
- Collaborate with UX designers and other developers to build modular, reusable components.
- Work alongside experienced developers to build and maintain scalable microservices using Java and the Spring framework.
- Learn to produce high-quality web experiences and follow best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience developing web applications in Java, Ruby, or Python.
- Practical knowledge of web frameworks including Spring, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, or Sinatra.
- Experience designing single-page applications using JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with client-side MVC frameworks, specifically ReactJS or ReactNative.
- Experience building modular front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and browser rendering behavior.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
