About the role#
As a Vulnerability Management Engineering Intern, you will focus on automating security processes and improving how we handle vulnerability data. You will work within our security operations team to replace manual tasks with code and help integrate security workflows across our infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects to automate vulnerability management tasks, such as scan orchestration and data normalization.
- Design and maintain scripts using Python and similar languages to connect security tools with our internal platforms.
- Query and manipulate large datasets to provide insights into our security posture.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure teams, including Network, Systems, and DevOps, to integrate remediation workflows.
- Document and build automated security playbooks and operational workflows.
- Assist in evaluating new security technologies by testing their API capabilities.
- Apply cybersecurity frameworks like NIST and CIS to automate compliance checks.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and a solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database structures.
- Experience working with API architectures, specifically REST, GraphQL, and FastAPI.
- A basic understanding of how infrastructure teams operate, including systems administration and network protocols.
- The ability to manage assigned automation projects independently.
- Strong analytical skills to identify manual process gaps and solve them through code.

- This position is based on-site at our headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
