    About the role#

    As a Plant Technology Intern, you will join an engineering team at our optical fiber manufacturing facility in Wilmington, North Carolina. You will work on project deliverables within our manufacturing or technology development groups. This is a full-time, paid summer internship. We provide housing assistance for the duration of the program.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and conduct experiments using the scientific method to collect data.
    • Analyze process data to develop improvements for products, equipment, or processes.
    • Work with technology, engineering, and operations teams to understand the impact of your changes.
    • Review performance data from new processes and draw conclusions.
    • Present your findings and document your work for the team.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
    • A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
    • Familiarity with engineering process fundamentals and the scientific method.
    • Skills in data and statistical analysis.
    • Analytical problem-solving abilities.
