About the role#
Daikin U.S. Corporation offers an 11-week summer internship for students interested in Industrial Engineering. You will join a team to work on an individual project while also collaborating with other interns on a group assignment. This role involves direct involvement in manufacturing process improvement, cost reduction, and quality initiatives at our facility in Waller, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to set quality and reliability objectives.
- Plan the sequence of operations for fabricating and assembling parts.
- Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems.
- Perform classical industrial engineering tasks including time studies, line balancing, and workflow improvements.
- Coordinate quality control activities to resolve production issues and minimize costs.
- Create operator method sheets and maintain plant floor layouts.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to apply robotics for increased production efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
