About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is based on-site at our Lakeland, Florida office. You will work on various water and wastewater projects while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering projects.
- Develop technical skills through meaningful assignments.
- Participate in a series of professional development workshops and networking events.
- Collaborate on a summer-long group project with firm leaders to address company strategy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Prior experience with water or wastewater utilities is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD is a plus.
