About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term for DES-101 Principles of Interactive Design. This position involves supporting the instructor and helping students succeed in the course. You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen to qualify.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor in the classroom as requested.
- Set up and operate lecture equipment.
- Facilitate student presentations.
- Answer student questions during labs.
- Pre-grade assessments and submit attendance sheets.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for feedback.
What you'll need#
- Proven proficiency with the course material.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a desire to help others excel.
- Comfort interacting with other students as a mentor.
- Reliability in arriving on time and staying focused during work hours.
- Ability to track and report your hours worked.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Completion of DES-101 with a grade of B or better.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week from September 1 to December 17, 2026.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Note: You may not work during any time you are scheduled for a class.
